Thinking about
Most AI products today are horseless carriages. Old interfaces with AI tacked on, not reimagined around it. I write code to think, and lately three questions drive my work:
- Where AI lives is in the interface itself: not a feature you open, but something you feel.
- What makes AI useful is doing the right thing quietly, not making suggestions you constantly have to fix.
- What makes AI trustworthy is being transparent, predictable, and honest about what it can and can't do.
Reading
Currently worming my way through Terry Pratchett's Discworld 🪱 — forty-odd novels of footnotes and quiet wisdom, and I'm in no hurry to reach the last one.
A now page: what I'm focused on at this point in my life.
